Poison Ivy Guide

Summers with plenty of sunshine and rain are ideal conditions for Poison Ivy to flourish along the Cliff Walk. With the normal dress of shorts, walkers need to keep alert and not brush up against it especially where the path is tight.

Try to stay at least a couple of inches away. Don't pet friendly dogs. Keep an eye on your companion!

If you start to really itch [from several hours to several days later], don't scratch with wild abandon or you will spread the oily irritant making things vastly worse. Seek help at the local pharmacy.

Beware shiny, and sometimes
not so shiny, leaves of three!!!

"Leaves of three, Let it be.
Berries of white, Danger in sight.
Stems of red Will catch you dead."
